Magnolia Acuminato
(Cucumber Magnolio)

TITLE OF VIDEO CLIP Cucumber Magnolia

Growing best in the Southern Appalachians, the cucumbertree gets its name from the shape of its fruit. The fruit is a three-inch cone. Many red seeds are suspended by white threads from it. The tree grows tall and straight to about ninety feet with a crown of short branches. In the spring three-inch bell-shaped flowers are produced at the end of each twig. Because they are yellowish green, they are hard to see among the long oval leaves.
